well, here i sit in an internet cafe in cinqua terra. this is really sad. it is raining outside. it has been all morning. i have walked around the whole little town 4 times. i hiked up the side of a really large mountain in order to see the other 4 towns, but i did not know that there was a 3 euro charge to continue WALKING. this is because the no mans land between towns is a state park. plus, the walk to the next town would have taken an hour and a half...says the money collector. no thanks.
first of all, i refuse to pay someone for my right to walk. second, it was raining. third, i was all by my self and i was getting bored. sorry for the typos. this computer doesnà t know english very well.
this is a very nice place and the food is excellent. we met some students from wake forest and syracuse last night and hung out for a few hours, but they are gone now and we are here exploring. it is very possible that we could make an incredible discovery that no man has ever known about. i wonder what it will be...
oh yeah, the other reason that i am in the internet cafe in cinqua terra is because i am locked out of my room and the guy at the front desk speaks no inglese and there is a freaky cat lurking around the place.
i had a revelation the other night. it is not an insight into what is going on in my life, just an observation. the saying, if you love someone, you will let them go...i think that is great advice. those who are scared to death and lack hope that there is something more for them, hold on tightly and sometimes find heart ache as they lose what it is that they so desperately cling to. however, those who trust that the future is out of their hands and have faith that their love is true, can let go of whatever it is they do not want to lose. those are the people who, in the end, get what they wanted all along. whatever, you are probably thinking to yourself, "duh;" but there is nothing else to do, so i thought i would share.
now that you are completely bored with my blog, i will stop this nonsense. maybe i will go chase the freaky cat. or maybe i will go down to the beach and jump off the rocks into the ocean in the rain. yeah! that sounds like fun. i think i will do that. BYE
