Turns out, Monterosso (Cinqua terra), created many memories. I did it. I swam in the Mediterranean Sea in October. Went out pretty deep, where the waters were about 30 feet deep...Crystal Clear! I could see to the very bottom, where there were huge boulders sung into the sand. Clear fish swam around me, which was cool. The water was aqua colored-BEAUTIFUL.
Because the water in our hotel was orange, I decided that I would count my swim as my weekend shower. A salty dive is the key to feeling refreshed and sticky; but, when in Europe, don't bathe everyday...right? We went back and changed into dry clothes and found a great little tea/coffee/wine shoppe and had hot tea and tried to stay warm while Michael Buble sang to us via surround sound. It was a beautiful thing. I made four more visits to the same little place over a 12 hour period. I couldn't get enough. I think maybe it reminded me of Taylor's in Auburn (sentimental value).
It took 6 hours to get home by train, but we stopped in Termini (train station in Rome) and ate ribs at Road House Grill. YUM.
Now, I'm in class, so...more later.
