Woah, I didn't know how huge the blog phenomenon was. I just finished scanning through about 25 people's lives...crazy. The one time I thought I was an early settler! I'm always behind the technological times, I guess. Oh well.
It is aproximately 1:50 pm on December 28, 2005 and I am sitting here in a new pair of pink polka dotted flannel pajamas and fuzzy pink socks. (I think this is the first pink/fuzzy ANYTHING I have ever owned...I applaud you southern girly girls...I feel exceptionally feminine and a little wierd apart from my usual t-shirt and bare feet)
I LOVE days like this one. Nobody's knocking on the door. The leftovers are quickly depleting because I go into the kitchen every thirty minutes. Just a half a serving more of casserole and just one more helping of pecan pie...As Papa would say, "I need it but I don't want it." The noise of constant movie watching finally gets to me and I am driven to the book that I have been meaning to read for a year. I have nothing to do. There are no obligations, no duties, no need for the shower, nada. Such times should be cherished as they will soon cease to be. I'm excited about the busy times too though, as they will present a whole new season of blessing!
As for now, I have a room to paint, a closet to clean, a car to wash, chocolate to devour and a new year to celebrate! Happy 2006 to you and yours.
