I just got a burst of excitement about life...Not sure why, or for what, but I think something good is going happen. I feel it in my fingers...Feel it in my bones..

Senior year has gotten off to a great start. It is going to be one ridiculously crazy semester of living in the studio, but I anticipate the long hours will pay off. I am excited about my classes and my teachers (thank goodness) seem excited as well. We are starting to see on paper, the planning that goes into creating a life as a professional; and after that career assessment test, I am encouraged. The last time I took one of those was in 9th grade-it told me that I was fit to be a preacher/priest...I can't remember what came in second. This go round, the results were tied between fashion designer/fashion writer and copy writer (journalist)....YES! I would be either in a heart beat-only if I can have a little table for my laptop in front of a huge window over looking some sort of skyline and some cool glasses. Oh this is going to be fun....

So, in keeping with the notes of recognition to those who have impacted my life, I send a shout out to Dr. Evelyn Brannon.
This woman was a professor of mine for a short while, but influenced me more in those 2 months than many have in 21 years.
She was tough and showed little emotion, but I heard the passion in her voice and I saw the fire in her eyes. That fire is one that will not be extinguished. She is smart, motivated, and extremely creative. I hate to see her retired, for through her quiet confidence in me, my self assurance was renewed. Dr. Brannon, if you ever find this, thank you. There are not words...Only the hopeful success that is to come.
I credit you.
